2006 IPCC guidelines for national greenhouse gas inventories
The IPCC aims to complete the new "Guidelines for the National Greenhouse Gas Inventories" in early 2006. The Expert Review of the First Order Draft took place in March–April, 2005. Major revisions from 1996 IPCC Guidelines in the First Order Draft will be presented.

Ice and ocean changes off Greenland: new scientific findings in European Arctic Research
The Greenland seas are the site of two major EU climate change projects. In GreenIce buoys measure ice thinning whilst sea bed coring reveals 100.000 years of climate history. CONVECTION discovered that in the Greenland Sea in winter deep convective chimneys keep Europe's climate mild.

Simulations of global climate change commitment for the IPCC AR4
We show results from simulations of climate change with the NCAR Community Climate System Model, and address findings from our contribution to the IPCC AR4. We show the fidelity of the ocean's response to rising CO2 using simulations and show a new class of simulations for the IPCC AR4.
